Brief history in relation to dance… Cynthia started dance at age 7, she learnt classical technique till 16 and was considered quite good with a bright future in ballet except could not conform, generally, so left in a huff!

 

Cynthia came back to dance after first child was born, at age 21.

She was a performer in WOW for 13 years and choreographed the children’s section 3 years running.

Cynthia has taught a variety of classes for various teachers in ballet, contemporary dance, and tai chi. She has also run a self devised teaching program in schools and privately for 8 years.

​

Cynthia has trained in mask, street theatre and improv.

She made a few shows up along the way, danced in various  art openings, installations and theatre shows

​

Cynthia is the founder of d.c.m and currently teaches a variety of classes for children and youth here in Golden Bay .
