About d.c.m
d.c.m is a dance and performance collective founded by Cynthia Lorrian.
d.c.m is now a charitable trust organisation.
Its main goal is to provide a space for any potential teachers and students, and those supporting them, to come together to share their passion and skills for dance and performance.
2019 saw an exciting development in the d.c.m vision of dance and performance art in Golden Bay. Cynthia continues to teach a small group of youth aged 10 to 16 who are empowered to take themselves out of the usual and standard offers of education. All are passionate about dance and performance and want to expand and deepen their training in these areas all the while opening up opportunities for their future in dance and performance art.
Cynthia has invited Ali and Milo to bring their teaching experience to both the Tui ballet and the after school classes
d.c.m has just had it's 3rd annual performances showcasing performing art students from around Golden Bay featuring dance in 4 forms, silks, physical theatre, music and song.
